Reading has streets and streets of Victorian terraces. Newtown was built from the 1870s for the Huntley & Palmers biscuit workers. Katesgrove and west Reading are full of homes from the same time.
Many of these houses still have old rubber or fabric cable somewhere. Others have been added to so many times that nobody knows what goes where. We are based in RG1, so these streets are on our doorstep. We test first and only rewire what needs it.

Your questions, answered
Does every Victorian house need a full rewire?
No. Some have been rewired already. We test it and tell you straight. Sometimes a new board and a few repairs are all it needs.
Can we stay in the house while you rewire?
Usually yes. We work room by room and get the power back on at night where we can.
